This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

When snorkeling or scuba diving in tropical waters, coral reefs visually tantalize divers with an array of color and life. Unfortunately, as much as you would like, you can't conceivably bring the reef back with you ... or could you? With a trip to The Aquarium in Sandy you can have your own beautiful piece of tropical reef. There, tanks filled with live coral, sea anemones, aquatic plants and thousands of tropical fish greet you.

Brad Daniels owns The Aquarium. He received his first tank when he was 14 years old and quickly fell in love with tropical fish. At 17, Brad started working for a fish shop, and at 19, he borrowed some money from his dad and bought the store.

The store sells just about any type of salt or fresh water tropical fish you can think of, plus whatever belongs in the fish's natural habitat. The centerpiece of the store is a 500 gallon tank housing live reef. As I circled the giant tank, I noticed pink tinted sea cucumbers, bright red shrimps, vibrant purple sea slugs and a rainbow of corals, all of which are sold at The Aquarium. Brad tells me most of the fish come from tropical areas all around the world, and during any given week, The Aquarium receives in stock between 2,000 and 6,000 tropical fish. Brad says if The Aquarium doesn't carry the fish you want, they can get it for you, including lemon and bonnet head sharks. Most of the coral and plants the shop sells, however, come from tank propagation.

In addition to the various tanks and tank cabinetry already available at the store, Brad can design and create any type of tank, whether on a stand or built into a wall. One customer requested that The Aquarium install a 750-gallon tank within the walls of his home. After supplying the tank and fish, Brad says the shop can also offers customers a maintenance service.

So, if you're interested in seeing a live reef or decorating a room with a piece of a coral reef, then pay a visit to Brad at The Aquarium in Sandy.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
