Signs By Tomorrow -- December 17, 2007
This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Brent Attaway is in the business of big.
As the owner of Signs By Tomorrow in Provo, Brent's company provides large format banners, vehicle wraps, poster displays and signs for conventions, industry shows and trade shows. It also offers custom lettering and graphics as well as design consultation. One of the company's biggest sellers is retractable banner stands, with vehicle wraps and full-color printing as their other specialties. Signs By Tomorrow is a franchise, and the Provo location is the only one in the state.
With a background in graphic design, Brent first started working in the sign industry several years ago. He bought Signs By Tomorrow in 2004, even though he was still pursuing his graphic design degree at BYU. He was interested in the sign industry and enjoyed the work he had been doing.
Since he purchased the company, business has steadily increased by about 30 percent every year. The company has already established itself in the Provo area, but it is gaining a greater presence throughout both Utah and Salt Lake counties, providing signage for conventions at both the Salt Palace and South Towne Expo Center.
Most sign companies offer the same types of services. One of the major things that set Signs By Tomorrow apart is that they aren't just "order takers." To ensure the client is purchasing the sign or banner that fits his or her needs, Brent says they look into the background and reasons for the project. They consult with the client throughout the process to guarantee satisfaction with the finished product.
Client interaction is Brent's favorite part of the business. He enjoys providing materials to help new businesses with their start-ups. He hopes to see Signs By Tomorrow continue growing and gain a greater presence around the state.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
