Financial Peace University -- September 11, 2006
This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Is your neighbor a little lighter on his feet? Is she smiling more than usual? Maybe it's because your neighbor is one of the 4,000 people who are on the road to debt freedom after enrolling in Financial Peace University.
For more than three years, Zions Bank's Eliminate Needless Debt Program, also called the END Program, has partnered with area businesses and churches to bring this personal finance education program to Utah and Idaho. The first participants added an average of $3,000 to their savings or paid off an average of $7,100 in debt while taking the class, and the classes since then have seen similar results.
These community-centered classes, usually hosted by area churches, schools, or concerned businesses, teach people how to win with money. The lessons focus on teaching people how to save more, eliminate needless debt, and build wealth. Other topics covered include marriage and money, understanding insurance and investments, buying and selling a home, and careers and extra jobs.
Consumer advocate and best-selling author Dave Ramsey created Financial Peace University. Dave was a millionaire with too much personal debt who ended up going bankrupt more than 15 years ago. Learning from his mistakes, Dave created this life-changing personal finance course. More than 250,000 families have enrolled nationwide.
Classes will be held all along the Wasatch Front beginning next week, and can be added anywhere Zions Bank does business and where there is community demand. If you want to learn how to save more, eliminate needless debt and build wealth for retirement and college funding, it's not too late to enroll. Learn how to be debt free. It'll put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
