The Gangrene Film Festival will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year taking on the Wild Bill Hickok, Wild West Show in its production of “Ten Gallon Hat.” The audience can expect a rootin’ shootin’ show, complete with guest performer, The Rhinestone Roper.
The Gangrene first debuted as a backyard party where friends gathered to watch their homemade movies. The popularity of the event quickly outgrew the backyard and has become a multi-national, comedy film event. The Gangrene Film Festival now showcases short comedy films from all over the world and has hosted directors from New York to Los Angeles.
The Gangrene Film Festival is Friday at the Ed Kennley Amphitheater, located in the North-East corner of Layton Park. The first of two sessions begins at 8:30 PM. For more info, go to gangreneproductions.com.
