Congratulations to Jack Gallivan who recently received the Tourism Achievement Award from The Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau for his outstanding efforts championing the importance of tourism in Salt Lake City. Gallivan has been a long-time advocate for Salt Lake, from his work with the Second Century plan to the new Downtown Rising.

He continues to support the evolution of Salt Lake as a destination for meetings, conventions and tourism by normalizing state liquor laws along with his participation on tourism industry committees.

Jack Gallivan’s oversight of the building of the Salt Palace, Abravanel Hall, Capitol Theater and the Bicentennial Arts Center contributed to the look Salt Lake City has today. As one of the most influential people in Utah, Gallivan is a shining example of how one man can change a city for the better and forever.
