THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT.

Dan Davis, President and Chief Operating Officer for Miller Motorsports Park, has stepped down to pursue opportunities nearer to his home in Michigan.

Davis will be replaced by John Larson. Larson has been with the Miller organization for the past 19 years and has been involved in the financial end of the venue since it opened. Bryan Miller has been named Assistant General Manager and will work closely with Larson in running Miller Motorsports Park.

Miller Motorsports Park hosts many of the top racing series in the world including the F.I.M. Superbike World Championship. Races are broadcast live to 175 countries and 120 million viewers. For perspective, the 2009 NASCAR Daytona 500 was seen by only 18 million viewers. It is estimated the Superbike World Championship brought 10 million dollars to the State of Utah in 2008.
