THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT
Birthdays are a wonderful time to celebrate and recently Zions Bank reached the ripe old age of 135. Coincidentally, Zions can boast 135 branches throughout Utah and Idaho. As part of the celebration, Zions Bank is granting more than 135 service-oriented “wishes” in their communities. Through August 8th, community members can propose a local service project that employees at each branch location can perform to benefit a worthy cause. To fill out a nomination form stop by your local branch and help celebrate 135 great years in the community.
As dark nights fall upon majestic midnight skies, Cedar Breaks National Monument is throwing a series of monthly “Star Parties”. The parties will be held on select Saturdays through September. For more information, go online to nps.gov/cebr.
And don’t forget to join the Downtown Alliance for the 16th annual Farmer’s Market tomorrow morning starting at eight at Pioneer Park. For more information visit downtownslc.org.
