The economic-stimulus payments will reach many American’s banking accounts in the next few weeks. The Internal Revenue Service announced that tax rebates taken from IRAs and other tax-favored accounts will be tax-free and penalty-free. In most cases, to qualify for the relief, funds must be taken out by April 15, 2009. For more details visit IRS.gov.
