THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT
Where do businesses go to get their first investment? Where can they find help to get through the process? Grow Utah Ventures recently formed the Olympus Angels--the first formally organized “angel” investment group in the Salt Lake metro area. The group provides seed capital and advice to young entrepreneurs just starting out. Across the country, angel groups like this have proven to be critical in stimulating and growing businesses. The amount they invest can range from $50,000 to $200,000 dollars. The angels then serve as advisors and mentors to the business. For more information, go to www.growutahventures.com.
The Salt Lake Chamber wants employers to know about a new award. The deadline to apply for the Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility is this Friday, December 16th. To apply see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
